March 2012 Newsletter

Click Here for Video of our "Evangeline" from our Grand Annex Show in December
"Evangeline" is Ernest Troost's song about mistaken identity, crime and heartbreak.

Hey Y'all!  (I've been to Tennessee and I'm talking like a native again!)

February was an amazing month for the Hiloneome Band as we joyfully toured Northern California and shared some awesome shows with Houston Jones, Joe Craven and the Kathy Kallick band. We also traveled to Memphis to the International Folk Alliance and enjoyed our time there immensely.

March finds us traveling just a bit at the beginning of the month and then we slow down a bit and start working on our new album project here at home.  Show details are below!

As I wrote last month, thanks to our friend Pattie Van Over on the camera and our own Mark Indictor as editor, we have five brand new videos posted from our show in December at the Grand Annex with Fur Dixon and Steve Werner. One of them is above ~ see them all, including our awesome finale with Fur and Steve on Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" on Our YouTube Channel. Thanks to Kim Grant of KG Music Press, find a great group sing video from that show posted on No Depression's Los Angeles Page

And speaking of No Depression, our friend Carl Gage did a great review of our last release "Live At The Freight & Salvage" there last fall:  Read our CD Review on No Depression by Carl Gage

Stay tuned for more good news! Please visit our website, drop us a line on Facebook, and plan to join us at a show.

Below are some incredible photos from our show at the Freight & Salvage last month from the amazing Mike Melnyk.

Blessings and Love from all of us in the Hilonesome Band...Steve Rankin, Mark Indictor, Fred Sanders and Rob Carlson...
